Dedre brings more than 23 years of design experience to industry, including her role as founding principal of her own award-winning firm for 15 years. She holds a master’s degree in environmental and industrial design from the University of Calgary, and architectural degree from the University of Waterloo, and is a LEED-accredited professional. As Principal Partner, National & Strategic Workplace Design, Dedre leads Lemay teams across Canada in design excellence and workplace strategy—with a focus on artificial intelligence and emphasis on change management and human experience strategies to be distinguished in the future ‘New-Collar’ workplace environment.
Dedre is responsible for the creation of WorkscaleTM—a leading edge workplace program which provides organizations and employees a strategic toolkit on re-imagining the workplace environment based on a triple bottom line approach. WorkscaleTM aligns workplace strategy and real estate processes with data-rich results. Recommendations are built upon sensor technology, engagement activities and benchmarking, and are grounded in a cost-benefit analysis and high-level design for the creation of future envisioned workplace environments.
As a past Adjunct Assistant Professor with the University of Calgary, and a current Advisory Board Member and part-time Faculty Member with Mount Royal University, Dedre shares her expertise and knowledge with individuals entering the profession, enabling them to realize their potential in the evolving world of design. Dedre is the founding chair and past Western District Vice President of IDSA (Industrial Designers Society of America), past board member of the International Facility Management Association’s Calgary Chapter, and committee member of CREW Calgary.
